I found out about this campground in the KOA directory, and I RV camped there in August 2007
Describe your camping trip:
We originally planned to be there just one night, but ended up staying for two. Besides being very small, the campground itself seemed very clean and well maintained.
Pros: I think it's biggest plus for us was it's location. It was less than a mile off of I-44, which is great for overnight camping. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful, but rarely seen due to the 98 degree heat. I don't blame them.
Cons: From what I saw really nothing other than they could use a few more shade trees in their RV section.

Nearby attractions: The park itself offers fishing and canoe and raft rentals. Near by is Meramec Caverns and an Antique Toy Museum.
Further comments: A nice place for a quiet weekend getaway, but I wouldn't stay any longer than that.
