Campground Review from Valerie

We had been to a nearby campground and wanted to see a park program at this camprground. When we drove around we liked the campground, and we tent camped there in June 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

We had a great time. Linville Falls is a national park off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The sites are very spacious. They have programs on the weekends and during the week too during the summer. We picked a site on the Linville River. Bathrooms were pretty clean. No showers and cold water only. It is at the entrance to the Linville Falls Park.
Pros: We could camp right on the river, and the sites are very big. At 3200 feet elevation, it's cool sleeping in the summer.

Cons: The site we picked we had to walk quite a ways to our site from where we had to park the car.
Nearby attractions: Linville Falls, Crabtree Falls, Mineral Museum.
Further comments: We will definitely be back to this campsite. We went end of June and the night time temps are cool enough to need a 40 degree sleeping bag and sweats and hoodie when the sun is down and first thing in the morning.
