Crabtree Meadows Campground, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina

Campground Review from Valerie

About.com Rating four out of Five

By David Sweet, About.com

We stumbled across this location when we wanted to see the falls at this park, and we tent camped there in May 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

This is a great campground at a higher elevation. Cool nights and mornings.
Pros: Cool sleeping weather, hike to the falls, small camp store on site, and nice size sites.

Cons: No creek close by to play in.
Nearby attractions: Mineral Museum, Linville Falls, Crabtree Falls.
Further comments: The first day we were there (Friday), there were not many campers. The next day the park was full. This was over Memorial Day weekend.
