Driftstone on the Delaware, Mt. Bethel, Pennsylvania

Campground Review from Kim

About.com Rating three out of Five

By David Sweet, About.com

I found out about this campground in a brochure, and I RV camped there in June 2008.

Describe your camping trip:

Campsites were very spacious. We had a riverbank site and could have easily parked two RVs on our site.
Pros: The size of the sites, the bathrooms were extremely clean, offers boating or rafting trips, nice activities and swimming pool.

Cons: Children are a separate fee in addition to your campsite fee. The bathrooms closed between 9 am - 11 am everyday for cleaning, which was a bad time since everyone wants to be in the bathroom in the morning. Pool closes for two hours during the day at odd times. Electrical hookups were shared meaning that for some people it was on the wrong side of the RV for set up. Paths to the river were not cleared and were quite dangerous because of the hillside even though they were designated areas to use.

Further comments: It was posted at the campground that they had seen a bear roaming in the campground several weeks earlier. We didn't find the bear, but we had a skunk visit our campsite both nights while we were there even while we were sitting at the fire.
