The Springbar Compact 2000 is an excellent 2-man 3-season tent. It is made with quality materials, easy to set up, sturdy in a wind, and stays dry in a heavy rain. It has more than adequate room for two campers. This tent is too heavy for backpacking, but it's an ideal choice for car, boat or horse camping. This is the best tent I have ever seen or tried. If you want a tent that will last a lifetime, get a Springbar.

Guide Review - Springbar Compact 2000
I tried the Springbar Compact 2000 this summer in fair weather, and it faired very well. I was able to set the tent up by myself in about 10 minutes. This tent uses heavy-duty materials throughout. The pole design makes it very sturdy when erect. There is plenty of room to accommodate my two Kirkham oversize sleeping pads. With a large door on opposite sides of the tent and the door flaps staked out, there was always a nice cross-breeze. It was very cozy for me and my wife.
In September I had an opportunity to put the Compact 2000 to a real test. We went camping on the Outer Banks of NC, and the first night there a good storm blew through with gusty winds and heavy downpours. The Compact 2000 did not sway in the wind, nor did we get wet inside. The rain had stopped by morning. When we rose from the tent, it was already dry. Rain flowed off the tent like water off a duck's back. Upon looking around the campground, I noticed that a few tents hadn't weathered the storm very well, whereas the Compact 2000 had come through the storm without incident.
The Compact 2000 is only rated as a three season tent, but I plan to use mine this winter.
Springbar claims that this is the best tent made in America. I totally agree.
